Coding Without Borders – Ambassador Program for ISL girls

After the collaborative success of the Society Of Women Coders initiative in October 2021, we are pleased to share with you all an exciting opportunity: “Coding Without Borders – Ambassador Program” for our young girls to develop their coding skills.

At ISL, we are passionate about democratizing the coding skills of female students and empowering them to succeed in this technology-driven world. Coding skills will be crucial for the future. We are going to introduce a “girls only” ISL Coding Club in partnership with the Society Of Women Coders (SOWCoders). We would like to encourage our girls to either nominate themselves to be our Ambassador or to join the coding club to help them to upskill and improve their logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

The SOWCoders organization is now contacting their affiliated schools around the world, asking them to put forward the names of girls who will become the school’s “Ambassador” who will, amongst other duties, lead our own ISL Coding club. The SOW Coders Ambassador will be an inspiration to other girls in our community and become a pioneer of leading the Women in Technology and Entrepreneurship movement in our community/school. We hope to expand the ISL programme to include other Lusaka schools as well as schools throughout the country. In addition to developing valuable personal and team skills this opportunity will undoubtedly contribute to one's university applications.
