IGCSE Settle In - Key Announcements and Reminders

As we commence the new academic year, we want to extend a warm welcome to our new IGCSE students in Year 10 and our continuing students in Year 11. We had a strong start to our HBL programme and I want to thank all students, parents and staff for their commitment and engagement over the last two days.

Beginnings are always difficult, especially if they are online and when some of our students are still abroad. Despite a few admin hiccups, there was no problem we couldn't solve in the space of 10 min. Students settled into lessons well and feedback has been extremely positive! 

As we await the IGCSE results with anticipation on Thursday, we are proud to welcome our new Year 10 students into the IGCSE programme. Their outstanding success at the Checkpoint exams in Science and English clearly demonstrates this is a year group with fantastic potential. 

With HBL continuing the remainder of this week and next, I would like to make the following announcements and reminders:

1. We have relaunched the E-textbook Library in google classroom. All IGCSE students should have access and have been invited. 

2. Teachers have shared with students the supplies necessary for each subject. I have included a list here for your reference. We ask students to ensure they have everything they need by the end of next week. 

3. We are still working to fix Managebac as quickly as possible. I would ask that students use google classroom exclusively for the time being. Do not worry if you do not appear on Managebac, please attend lessons as normal.
