As we move into the new year, we have much to celebrate at our school. We have a strong faculty with a wonderful set of new colleagues joining us, our campus has never looked better and our exam results have never been higher. Here are some of the things we are celebrating at the moment:
We celebrate our highest ever IB Diploma results, comfortably exceeding the world average, including another perfect score and a bunch of students with scores of 40+. Two years ago, Shidan and now Divyam got perfect scores. Only a few hundred students in the whole world get that score. What is really striking about these students is that Shidan joined us in Nursery and Divyam joined in year one, making this a whole school achievement. You may read more about it here. We have also a strong set of results in our first ever checkpoint exams in year nine, comfortably exceeding the world average. You may read more about this here. I would like to recognize and thank students and teachers in year thirteen and year nine for their efforts.
We celebrate another big set of improvements to our facilities, including major renovations of the early years block, the library and the arts block. We also have some upgrades to staff housing and more improvements to the school exterior with painting, landscaping, kerbs and paths. One of my priorities as head has been to give our students and our teachers the facilities they deserve.
We celebrate - with some relief - a comparatively stable financial position. We have been able to give zero fees increases for two years in a row, thus giving something back to our community. This year, we have also modestly cut fees in our early years to ensure that we are competitive in this area.
The feedback and support we have had from the association - in person, in writing, from blog comments and at town-hall meetings - has been extremely positive. Our parents are the best advocates for our school. I do appeal to all association members to reach out to people in the community and advocate for our early years classes where we still have open spaces. This is for the future of our school.
I would like to thank all association members - parents and staff - for their support.
Congratulations to the entire academic team, the student and the whole family associated with this success.
ReplyDeleteAlso, thanks to the school team once again for keeping an eye on feasible fee structures to build the school citizenship from early on and make it strong.
