Rains are finally here--

Today, we had our first experience of the much-awaited rains at school!

It is finally here and we hope here to stay for some time! This definitely brings promise of less load shedding and enough water for the farmers.
One does understand how it can be slightly inconveniencing with puddles and well... sometimes rivers to cross in the schoolyard too! (Our Maintenance Manager is working out ways in which to reduce this for members of our school community.)
We have taken walks around school identifying water leakages and working out ways to counter the problem.
On the brighter side, time for kids and adults to use umbrellas, put on wellies, wear raincoats, splash in the puddles and enjoy the cool weather!
Stay safe and drive carefully in the rain.....
