Every year, the International francophone week is celebrated during the month of March and provides an opportunity for French speakers around the world to celebrate the French language in all its diversity. On this occasion, the Modern Languages Department is proud to present a selection of activities celebrating the French language which will happen next week. Here are these activities:
Monday 28th March
French food/cuisine. Students will have the opportunity to buy a selection of food items (baguettes, croissants, fromage, etc.) while asking for these items in French (up to K20 an item). VENUE: Amphitheater for Secondary and outside Siberia classrooms for Primary (second break)
Tuesday 29th March
Years 7, 8 and 9 singing competition. Students will sing French songs. The judges will be the Music teachers. VENUE: Amphitheater (second break).
Wednesday 30th March
French version of "Who wants to be a millionaire?" game show. This is for Years 7, 8 and 9. Year 7 will be in the FAB and Years 8 and 9 in the covered area.
Thursday 31st March
Come dressed as a French person or wear the French colours. This is for both Primary and Secondary students.
Friday 1st April
Primary and Secondary award ceremony. The Director of the French Alliance will hand out prizes. VENUE: Covered area for Primary (Period 1 during their assembly). Amphitheater for Secondary during the second break.
