U-19 and U-9 ISAZ Football

ISL Wild Dogs Football teams on Friday and Saturday participated in the ISAZ Football tournaments. Baobab College hosted the U-19 boys football regionals on Friday and Saturday (March 4-5), AISL hosted the U-19 girls football regionals on Saturday (March 5), and Italian School hosted U-9 boys football festival on Saturday (March 5).

U-9 Boys football team - Coach Mr James Nyirenda

8 teams participated in the U-9 boys football festival at Italian school. All teams played each other, giving boys 7 games to enjoy!

ISL vs Italian school - loss 0-4

ISL vs AISL - draw 0-0

ISL vs Lusaka Oaktree - win 2-0

ISL vs Rhodes Park School - draw 0-0

ISL vs Crested and Crane - draw 0-0

ISL vs Baobab - loss 0-1

ISL vs Woodford - loss 0-1

U-19 Boys Football team - Coach Mr. Daniel Banda

11 teams participated in this year’s regionals, divided in 2 groups. ISL boys were in Group B with Baobab College, Chudleigh, St.Ignatius, Rhodes Park, and Lake Road. 

Results:

ISL vs St.Ignatius - draw 0-0

ISL vs Baobab - loss 0-1

ISL vs Rhodes Park - loss 0-1

ISL vs Chudleigh - loss 0-3

ISL vs LakeRoad - loss 1-2

With 1 tie and 4 losses our boys finished 5th in the Group A, overall 9-10th.

U-19 Girls Football team - Coach Mr. Chilele

7 teams participated in this year’s regionals, divided in 2 groups. ISL girls were in Group B with AISL and Lake Road. 

Results:

ISL vs AISL - loss 1-4

ISL vs Lake Road - win 4-1

Semifinal - ISL vs Pestalozzi - win 1-0

Final ISL vs AISL - loss 0-1, finishing 2nd in the whole tournament and earning a spot in ISAZ U-19 Girls football Nationals on March 18-19!
