U-14 and U-16 ISAZ Netball

ISL Wild Dogs Netball teams on Friday and Saturday participated in the ISAZ Netball tournaments. Kabulonga Trust School hosted the U-14 tournament on Friday, Feb 25, but LICS - U-16 tournament on Saturday, Feb 26.

Children for a better world conference

The third international online conference 'Children for a Better World' conference on the theme of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) was held by Century Integration International school on the 11th and 12th of February. The two day conference featured speakers on topics such as Ocean Plastics, Climate Action, Affordable and Clean energy.

IGCSE Mock Exam Timetable

 




The timetable for the IGCSE March 2022 Mock Exams has been published. Candidates and parents are kindly requested to check Managebac.

Mock exams will take place from Monday 14 March to Friday 25 March. Please note that there are two papers for Maths and English Literature which are sat earlier during lesson time. This is indicated on the timetable. 

Coding Without Borders – Ambassador Program for ISL girls

After the collaborative success of the Society Of Women Coders initiative in October 2021, we are pleased to share with you all an exciting opportunity: “Coding Without Borders – Ambassador Program” for our young girls to develop their coding skills.

ISAZ Jr. Swimming Gala

 On Friday, February 18, AISL hosted the final round of ISAZ Division 1 Jr. Swimming Gala for U-13, U-11 and U-9 teams. 

6 schools participated in this Gala - ISL, AISL, Baobab, Martin House, Musikili, and LICS. In each race 2 swimmers from each school took part and points were given based on the place swimmers got.

Rhodes Park School hosted the 2022 ISAZ U-19 Netball Qualifiers on February 19, 2022.

9 teams participated this time divided in 2 groups, ISL girls were in Group A (4 teams) with Rhodes Park School, LICS, and Mary Queen of Peace School.

U-14 ISAZ Football

 On February 12, 2022, AISL hosted the 2022 ISAZ U-14 girls football tournament, but Baobab College - U-14 boys football tournament .

8 teams participated in the U-14 (2008) girls tournament, ISL girls were in Pool 1 (4 teams) with Banani, Baobab College, and Mary Queen.

U-11 & U-13 ISAZ Netball

 Martin House hosted the 2022 ISAZ U-11 and U-13 Netball tournaments on February 12, 2022.

12 teams participated in the U-11 (2011) event, ISL girls were in Pool B (6 teams) with Martin House 2, Musikili Primary 2, Woodford School Lsk, Baobab College, and Rhodes Park.

Yr 12's successful Duke of Edinburgh Gold Qualifier Expedition

Our year 12's successfully completed their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Qualifier Expedition.They weathered the rain and overcame their fatigue to navigate a distance of nearly 45 kilometres with their heavy back packs. Well done students, we are very proud of you.

School Enterprise Challenge

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the International School Enterprise Challenge at ISL, which is a globally recognised entrepreneurship programme for high school students. Over the course of this semester our students in Year 10 will learn how to build teams, create their own product or service, and finally design and set up their own business.

The ISL Careers Fair

It is incredible to look at the landscape of occupational opportunities both here in Zambia and globally. The ways in which we are able to contribute to our world and the drive for progress is not only vast and wide, but also caters to a multitude of skill sets! As part of our desire to help equip our students to become the leaders of tomorrow across the globe, we will be hosting a Careers Fair from March 29th to April 1st, 2022 and we would love for you to be involved!

The Year 6 PYP Exhibition journey has begun!

The PYP Exhibition in Y6 is a culmination of the PYP programme. It is a celebration of the students' PYP journey in the Primary school. It is an opportunity for the students to showcase their knowledge, skills and attitudes that they have develpoed throughout their Primary School experience. Hopefully this will lead to students taking some form of action in a global or local issue they feel passionate about in order to make the world a better place.

In what feels like the ancient pre-Covid wave past, we had planned to set out for our Bronze Level Duke of Edinburgh Expedition Training sometime in November. Despite the delays, waves, storms and rain our students rose to the challenge in true DoE spirit and were finally able to complete this last week.
