We have reports of disturbances at Eastpark Mall and other locations in the area. The situation around the school is quiet with no evident threat to safety at this time. Our advice from the Zambia Police is that we are not a target and there is no need to do more than ensure that our gates are locked.
In our opinion, there is no need to close school or cancel on-campus activities. However, any parents who do come to collect children at any time are of course free to do so.
We have taken the precaution of cancelling off-campus after school activities and community service sessions. Parents may collect their children after school failing which children will be in bounds until the regular pickup time for these activities. Other after school activities will run as usual.
