Security bulletin

There have been a few cases in various places in the city connected with the unhappy practice of releasing airborne chemicals. This is known as 'gassing'. These incidents do not at present appear to pose a significant threat to normal school operations.

An incident closer to school - at Northmead primary school - is now known to be a localized altercation rather than part of a wider pattern of gassing attacks. After the initial report from Northmead we did step up security including activating PreSecure's Rapid Response Team. The RRT has now been stood down and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

In conjunction with our manager at PreSecure and our security liaison at the US Embassy - each of whom has our thanks - we continue to monitor this situation.
