Gradually going back to normal?

Our first duty at school is to keep people safe, and we believe we have managed to do that throughout the coronavirus crisis. Although we have had cases reported at school, we have no evidence to date of any coronavirus transmission on campus. While we remain cautious in our approach to managing the virus, the fact is that objective conditions have markedly improved in Lusaka and in Zambia generally as acknowledged recently by the ministry of Health in their own relaxation of COVID precuations. Nursery and Preschool Assembly

 A delightful experience!

Not less than two months ago, these young children joined our school and for many, this was their first time in an environment that was not home. They were observing, making friends, and working hard to settle into school routines.  A few of them were upset for a couple of weeks to separate from their parents too.

IMYC Entry Points are Back!

After almost one and half years of not being able to conduct joint IMYC entry points due to Covid19, we are glad to announce that we have successfully conducted entry points for year 7, 8 and 9. Students were provoked to think about the unit they will be studying for the next seven weeks while having fun.

Community Service is Back!

We are thrilled to announce the relaunch of our Community Service Programme for Year 10 and 11. This was a huge undertaking which involved detailed planning among key stakeholders at school. I would like this opportunity to thank Mr Mwale, our Community Service Coordinator, for his hard work and dedication which made this happen.

This semester Year 11 students will take part in Community Service where they are involved with various community projects with local schools around Lusaka for one afternoon each week. This semester students will not leave campus or be able to physically interact with our partners schools due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

You can contact the pta on pta@isl.sch.zm if you would like to learn more.
