Congratulations to all candidates receiving their Checkpoint Mathematics results! This was the first year students from ISL attempted this exam and I am thrilled to announce that we beat the international average in Algebra and Geometry and met the international average overall.
Candidates should check their school email to receive their individual statement of achievement and exam report. Please contact Mr Ivanov if you have not received your results.
We decided to undertake the Checkpoint Math exam as a formative exercise in order to see how well our students are progressing in the subject. The primary purpose of Checkpoint is to help provide students with a flight path to their IGCSE exams in Year 11.
I am pleased to report that based on the data:
- 90% of students are on track to secure a strong pass at IGCSE, which is 5% above the international average.
- 30% of students are on track to secure an A or A* at IGCSE
- 50% of students are on track to secure a B or above at IGCSE
Great new Ves, congratulations to the students and teachers concerned
