After almost one and half years of not being able to conduct joint IMYC entry points due to Covid19, we are glad to announce that we have successfully conducted entry points for year 7, 8 and 9. Students were provoked to think about the unit they will be studying for the next seven weeks while having fun.
Community Service is Back!
We are thrilled to announce the relaunch of our Community Service Programme for Year 10 and 11. This was a huge undertaking which involved detailed planning among key stakeholders at school. I would like this opportunity to thank Mr Mwale, our Community Service Coordinator, for his hard work and dedication which made this happen.
This semester Year 11 students will take part in Community Service where they are involved with various community projects with local schools around Lusaka for one afternoon each week. This semester students will not leave campus or be able to physically interact with our partners schools due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

You can contact the pta on pta@isl.sch.zm if you would like to learn more.

Year 12 welcome into the IBDP
On Friday, 3rd September, Year 13 students welcomed our new cohort of Year 12's into the IBDP Programme. It was a fun afternoon of Pizza, cup cakes, drinks followed by collaborative games by the pool side. It was great to see the Year 12 students work as a team in the tower building exercise. Students played pop the balloon, answering questions targeted on IB attributes. The run on the pool mats was truly fun to watch. Overall, the afternoon was fun and we wish our Year 12's a successful journey in the IBDP. The school and our fantastic team of teachers and counselors will ensure students are well supported to be successful in the Programme.

Year 13 CAS flashback
Looking back on IB1, it was a rollercoaster of emotions, with many ups and downs, as well as the bit where you become a little physically nauseated, yep, that too! But I can certainly say that I am not the same person coming off the ride as I was when I originally stepped onto it. Of course, there have been numerous hurdles, the most notable of which being the Covid-19 Pandemic, which brought the world to its knees and drove us all into isolation and online-schooling. Which I would say was a new experience for both teachers and students, and it has truly been a one-of-a-kind journey.
