Dear parent:
You, as a parent, are a voting member of the Association of the International School of Lusaka - which means that you own our school. The Association is represented by an elected board of governors who set strategic direction for the school, oversee its operations and supervise me - the head of school. Our school cannot run without the commitment of our board members who have our thanks for their service.
Due to a combination of circumstances, we have up to six board seats opening up this year. It is important that these seats get filled. Board members are expected to attend board meetings which are currently held every other month. In addition, board members chair or belong to board committees which meet generally every month. They are:
- Finance and Revenue
- Policy and Planning
- Human Resources and Staff Relations
- Estates and Projects
- Marketing and Strategy
The committees are where much board work is done and give a good idea of what skills are needed by the board.
Our school needs a strong and active board to ensure that the school’s resources are being applied to meet its mission, ensuring its continued success. Please consider running for the board or nominate someone whom you believe will serve our school well. If interested please click here to find out more.
With thanks,
Mark Fox
Head of School
