Completed a year full of activity and great work!
It was wonderful to see everyone excited on the last day of school. Lots of appreciation being shown for students, teachers and parents. Gifts given, parties being held and of course farewells being said too. Some of our families are leaving us and so are some of our teachers. We celebrate the time we have had with each of you and wish you good cheer and good spirits as you move to settle down in your new home. For our dear teachers, thank you for all the hard work put in during your time here. We do appreciate it:)
Over the holidays dear parents, do find some time to encourage your children to find time to do some reading. My opinion- one hour in a day can be set aside during the week for academic work. This could alternate between some reading, some Math concepts being reviewed and practiced, some writing, some inquiry. There are 23 hours for anything else they would like to do and the weekends too ( playing- definitely encouraged)! Reducing the time in front of the telly is recommended-that's just me though:)
Thank you for being a part of our wonderful ISL community and we look forward to seeing you back- safe and sound for the next academic year which begins on 13th August 2019.
Happy holidays!!
