Under 14 and U19 girls and boys basketball players are invited to try out for an invitational “Basketball Skills” tournament at the American International School of Lusaka on Saturday 7th November 2020.
Tryouts will take place during the second break (10:40 to 11:00hrs) on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th November. Registration is at any time before the second break with the PE Department.
The competitions will be as follows;
1. Dunking competition (touching the rim or the backboard)
2. 3 point shooting (how many scored out of 5 tries)
3. Speed shooting (how many baskets scored in 1 minute)
4. Dribbling between cones (fastest to reach the finish line wins)
Unfortunately in order to adhere to health and safety guidelines and keep the number of people at the venue limited, parents are not invited to watch. Selected students would travel to AIS via the ISL school bus on Saturday morning. Further details will be sent to the parents of those selected.
